Fighting for control over every aspect of my life is like breathing and if I control what people know about me, they can't hurt me—or so I thought. Opening up isn't easy. It's painful. It's also painful to know my earnest effort is not enough for you, and it's confusing. Especially when I don't know your expectations for me, and you only decided to tell me when I needled you into it. I asked you to be direct. I'm trying, and you're an asshole for deciding it's not good enough based on some bullshit parameter of what you're comfortable with. And not talking about my feelings or the plethora of trauma I've accrued doesn't mean I'm not going through just as much as you. It's really, reallyunkind telling that you apparently don't think I'm capable of that.
